3-Hour LOK Fitness Workshops
FLOW (LOK Fitness) : In FLOW, we introduce a new type of stretching/yoga class that focuses on upbeat music and allows the instructor to use whatever style of yoga they know best. This is not a discipline, but rather an easy way to introduce basic yoga positions to the average gym participant. Feel free to use this method as your cool down in your strength classes, put it on your group fitness schedule as an independent class, or teach a few songs to your one-on-one clients. FLOW allows you, as an instructor, to find your own style of movement. Whether you have 200 hours of yoga specific training or no hours whatsoever, this instructor workshop will guide you through developing a class following 4 simple steps, selecting your music for class, and show you ways to introduce this format to your current schedule.
Toy Box (LOK Fitness) : As a gym owner, manager, or group fitness director, you would like for your personal trainers and instructors to use more of the equipment you invested in purchasing, right? Then this 4-hour instructor workshop is your answer. The Toy Box workshop allows you as the gym owner, manager, or coordinator to create a workshop specific to the equipment you have available. You can custom build your instructors’ “tool boxes” so they they are informed of the techniques, safety guidelines, and purpose of equipment such as gliding discs, dumbbells, small pilates balls, steps, and so much more. With this four-hour workshop, you choose four of the equipment options listed on the LOK Fitness website. Your LOK Fitness Educator will prepare an interactive master class that is lecture and hands on learning for each piece of equipment. The LOK Fitness Educators can also tailor this workshop specific to the needs of your patrons, such as small group training, partner-drills, senior clientele, the beginner exercise participant and general population.
Kick Kamp (LOK Fitness) : Kick Kamp is a three-hour instructor workshop that will teach you how to simplify your class without sacrificing intensity and the safest kickboxing techniques to teach to the general public. The class format alternates between cardio kickboxing drills, upper body strengthening, and body weight core endurance movements; during the instructor training, the LOK Fitness Educator will teach you how to create this format, cue properly, and add progressions where it is appropriate. While this class is not intended to train you in a martial art form or for a fight; however, it does channel classic kickboxing movements into a challenging, yet fun workout.

Toys : Do you need a new outlook on equipment in your classes? This workshop gives you an array of exercises and ways to use gliding discs, bender balls, and figure 8 tubing! Targeting cardiovascular endurance, strength, and core movement patterns, this dynamic approach to fitness is focused, functional, and fun!

However, when teaching public classes, you often do not know the entire class’s limitations prior to creating your class. It’s vital for all group fitness instructors to have a few tricks up their sleeves to make a class acceptable for all students. During this course we also discuss different styles and types of interval training and how to best use them to teach all levels of participants.
